Entourage IMAP Configuration
Introduction
This document will walk you through the setup of Entourage for
IMAP on the UConn Network.
IMAP Configuration
Follow these instructions to correctly configure your IMAP
mail client for use with the University of Connecticut Huskymail
system. Please note, all thumbnails will open in a new window
if you are setting this up on the UConn Network.
Open Open Entourage.
Go to the Tools Menu and select Accounts.
Click on the

The Accounts screen will open. Click on
the New button
Click on the

On the New Account screen select IMAP
for Account type and click on the
button.
Click on the following

An Edit Account screen will appear.
Click on the

Fill in your name next to Name and email
address next to E-mail address.
Fill in your Net ID in the Account ID box.
If you do not know this information, please go to the NetID
Web Page, find your NetID,
and set your password.
Fill in huskymail.uconn.edu into the IMAP
server box.
For SMTP Server, type smtp.uconn.edu.
Just to note, the SMTP Server
is completely dependent on your Internet Service Provider.
Only use smtp.uconn.edu if you are
on campus. For other SMTP servers, please contact your ISP.
Click on the OK button at the bottom.
Underneath the password box, click on the button that says
"Click here for advanced receiving options".
A new screen will appear with three options. Only check
next to the option that says, "This IMAP service
requires a secure connection (SSL)".
Click
on the following thumbnail to view full image:
Close this window once the box has been checked. Click on
the
button.
You are now configured for IMAP in Entourage. You may check
your mail without using a Web browser.
